Shredding the Greenway on MTB’s

Quick shout out to the group of MTB’ers shredding the greenway around 6pm at a solid pace weaving in and out of families. I’m guessing you guys visit this website since there were some serious rigs in the crew. My 2 yr old daughter was close to being wiped out by the race pace crew. She was upset and most folk around were also annoyed. Good way to represent the MTB community.

I see the greenway, especially around the MET area at 6pm not being a place to ride expensive mountain bikes when there are plenty of trails nearby (especially BYT, I’m guessing the group starts at Park Rd Shopping center which is a few miles from BYT and Park Road). The greenway was crowded with the 70 degree weather so not sure how it could be any fun. If there are some hidden trails off the greenway please share.

Sorry to vent but it wasn’t cool.

That's a shame. It's bad to annoy other folks - even on a trail. But its REAL bad to scare kids.

You have a right to vent. I hope those guys see this.

I ride from uptown to BYT quite a bit, it def. gets crowded. I have to use patience an slow up a bit.....I am in the same boat as you I see lots of people fly by me on road bikes and mountain bikes, there's a time to go fast and that is not the place.

Since you are venting I will too about the booty last night! Was crossing on Queens and Selwyn with a green light heading towards Freedom Park when an overzealous roady ran his red light on Selwyn turning down on Queens at the same time I was going thru the intersection and almost hit us! If I wouldn't have seen him and braked it coulda been REAL BAD for him and us! My wifie screamed at the top of her lungs and almost peed her pants (and cussed like a sailor) because of this bonehead! I think I'd rather have a little slower time on a lap at the loop than get creamed by a car. I have vented...........

I mean, there is a Strava segment on the greenway so totally justified.  Wink Cheesy Grin

I'm glad that this is an environment where you feel free to fail.

I don't think there's a starva segment across the front of my HuhLEXUS!
