MD trail loss.

Got a message today that the MD side got the bulldozer. Tennis courts on the way. Not really sure if we can re connect or even will. It depends what left after the 30 foot retaining wall is put up. BYT is next on the block. Got an email yesterday about 2 weeks left till it gets the bulldozer. I knew it was coming and here it is after 28 years. It's been a long and fun run. Thanks to my brother Clay and Phil who said we need some where to ride and we have all these woods right here in our backyard and to all the others who have helped out over the years you know who you are. Go while you can!!! PRP will get just a light trim in July. So many memories of injuries and getting chased by police helicopters and others crashing and all the time spent roaming around in the woods and ALL the people over these past 28 years that we have met and have shared the same crazy need for something different to ride.

Scott, how much of BYT will be on the "block"? My understanding was just what was needed to do the Greenway cut in. True, I have been a little removed from all this, so just curious.

I used to ride; now I just drink and cry about not riding.

Last post on this till they are done. From the Tanbark stub road off of Wensley all the way over to the service road about 30 feet wide. The when you cross service road from where you pop out after log ride on the ground down to the concrete drainage then the climb back up the gravel road. When you get to the uphill switch back all the way over to the junk cars. Service road crossing is moving back down to the greenway. Not sure where yet but the trails themselves will be moved and rebuilt about 30 feet from greenway. Probably 2 separate enterances for the middle and back 1/3. Some of the trails will run backwards and get cut down into 1/2. They are going to put up a silt fence at the edge of the greenway and we will work off of that. I can't do anything till they get flagging. Part of the trail will close until they are done. For how long I'm not sure yet, it really depends on how many show up to help reconnect the trails and when they get started. As most of you know the place is full of poison ivy and yellow jackets and I have no intention to cut through that stuff when it's in growing/stinging season. So we will just see what happens. Keep an eye out for work dates if you ride this trail please come out and lend a hand the work dates will be posted and this will happen really really fast. I have already gotten the reroutes done in my head just waiting on the flagging/silt fence to get it on the ground. Just in a holding pattern now waiting on parks and rec.
