I'm going to be in Charlotte all weekend.

Hey people. I have a job interview tomorrow morning, Friday, in Charlotte. I would like to ride some local trails this weekend. I'm flying in so I can't bring the bikes. Does anyone know where I can rent a bike?  Does anyone have time to ride and show me some of the trails?  Im staying until Sunday evening so I want to ride as much as possible. The weather in Ann Arbor Michigan sucks right now.

What area of town are you staying in?  If you're up in the north in the Lake Norman Area we have M and L Specialized demos.  We also have a weekly Monday ride at Lake Norman State Park starting at 6PM.  Smiley

I'm staying at the Hyatt at the airport. I will have a rental car. I will go where ever I have to to ride.

WWC is a fantastic place to ride and is very close. Less than 5 miles.  (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

They have close to 20 miles of trails and they rent bikes... 

Weekends can be busy so get there early if you want to rent their bikes so you have a decent selection to choose from... i.e. squishy, fat tire, single speed.. hard tail.

Cycle Path has some sweet rental demo bikes if you want to venture a few miles north.  You can rent from them and ride Fisher Farm, Lake Norman on the northern end of "town"  About 15-25 miles away depending on which trail... you can also rent from Cycle Path and ride WWC.

I'll be riding Rocky River Trail at 3pm today, if you can get a rental by then and want to hit one of the favorite hand-built trails in the area.  Here's some info:

I'll be doing a medium pace, and regrouping at the top of the climbs because I'll be breathing through my eyeballs.  Let me know if you want to join and I'll be glad to show you around.

WWC would be my choice if you are only going to ride one of the trails because you can get a bike right there and go... and also it's just a great place to see if you are looking for something to convince you to move down this way.

US Olympic Trials are also at the USNWC today and Saturday, which would be worth checking out post ride while you have a beer.

Weather shows 46 degrees at 9am and windy.  I'll probably be there to ride, but not before 9.  Hope to do about 20 miles.  PM me if interested.
