Let me magically change the soil composition of the Mecklenburg area clay and get back to you Robert. Wink

A gravel walkway doesn't make a MTB all weather trail. Wink

We have one all weather trail... it's called Rocky River Trail.

Steve ain't worried about no tire tracks in his trail.

Um, no.  Actually that's not the reason.  A good part of it has to do with soil composition and overall elevation.  Steve's property has a lot of elevation and not much clay to speak of.  It's a loamy, sandy soil that drains very well.

The new trail at Allison Farms is quit similar and should prove to drain/dry well.

And if Steve didn't care about it getting torn up he'd never close it in the first place.

No RRT not an all weather trail just lucky soil composition and plenty of slope. If it were as heavily ridden as many of the other trails I'd keep it closed more/longer.

There is a cute little place in gaston county that never closes.  I also know of another little place not too far away, I think its called pisgah.

Get the leaf blowers out there asap and dry those trails!
