Anyone know if BYT is still closed today?  Showing closed on the home page but it hasn't rained in two days; wasn't sure if it just hasn't been updated on this site.

Yes still closed. We have had about 1 1/2 inches over 4 days with no real sun or wind to dry the trails out. Looks like more rain in a little while. I rode it sat and it still had a few slick spots and 2 places with standing water. We will open it ASAP. I have to go out tomorrow and take signs down and 3 hump thing is coming down for scrap wood.

Just came back from taking signs down on the back 1/3. Not to bad but lots of sticks and branches down. It looks like the 3 hump thing might get to stay. I won't know till the last minute. 3 trees down 1 on the front 1/3 and 2 on the middle 1/3 I might be able to get them this weekend if I'm in town. Thanks Bob for going out and taking a look around. Bob is going to open it tomorrow but it's still pretty damp and slidy. If you are out riding please take some time and pick up some branches and sticks. The derailleur you save may be yours or the people behind you. We will not be cutting back the 1/3 across the service road till fall so be prepared to loose the trail due to overgrowth and the trail coordinator slacking off. Thanks and have a nice day.

Yep pretty bad shape out there.   Not too wet to open and I did, but fun factor down due to a ton of branches and the 3 trees down, 2 caused me to backtrack, but I guess you could bushwhack.   Across the access road is very over grown....and we are not going to clear it due to the Greenway  work coming.  PRP is in good shape.  To the rider I saw out there that hit PRP and BYT, try picking at least one thing up...jeez.

Thanks for helping with the debris from the last couple of storms on the PRP side.  I'm glad there were no large trees down.  Hopefully i'll be able to run the blower over the whole trail over the next couple weeks and get it nice and smooth.  

Scott are there still trees that need to come out on BYT?  i can try to duck in w the chainsaw sometime tomorrow if you or someone on the thread can pinpoint them for me (assuming they are a one person job).

Harry I can meet you tomorrow after 5 to cut them out. Kind of hard to explain where they are. 1 at Marty bridge 1 on the Platu and one at new 4 way intersection. 1 of them I was told is pretty big. I will call you tonight and we can knock them out. Got a call this morning about greenway and they would like for us to close the back 1/3 while construction is going on. They would like to block off the trail with large cut trees. They have another meeting on the 12 to figure out where to start. I will post up when I know more. Thanks for stopping to clear branches and stuff.
