Charlotte area cycling folks, the North Carolina Interscholastic Cycling League needs you.

In just under three weeks we will hold our first Leaders' Summit where we train people how to be NICA coaches. Without coaches there are no teams. At this point the Charlotte area is underrepresented when it comes to Leaders' Summit registrations. I'm rather surprised at this but I get it. It can feel like a daunting thing to volunteer to coach anything but there are a lot of us here. Many hands make light work.

If you have an interest and want to see this succeed now is the time to please step forward and register.

With volunteering, is it to be assigned a team or more if you have interest in starting a team at a given school?

If you want to start a team then you definitely need to go to the leaders summit.  If you want to be involved in a team but don't know where yet (since many teams will be forming this fall) then it would still be a good idea to go to get ride leader training etc.
