Just realized there was supposed to be an update about this trail at the last meeting in early May.  Anyone who went to the meeting able to share the latest news on this one?

Word is the trail builder is supposed to break ground in the next month. Will likely take several months to build depending on weather etc.

Leah Mitcham from the Mooresville Convention and Visitors Bureau gave us the update at our May meeting.  She was instrumental in getting the grant funding for this project and it our best point of contact for updates on the trail.

She is a fellow mountain biker and very active in the Dirt Divas and is a former Trailblazers board member.  I'm guessing she is still on the forum but I don't know her screen name.

Kind of sucks how this went from originally scheduled to have been completed by now, to building not having been started

It's called red tape. Just be patient some counties and the way they run it just takes time.

Last I heard the builder is supposed to start within the next week or two. I know it's been slow to start but it's still going to happen. Just need a little more patience.
