Fisher / Allison Farms Section in Great Shape

Many thanks to the trail gnome that blew off the leaves and storm debris and cleared the drains on the new Allison Farms section of trail at Fisher.  It was in great shape. Rode 3 laps before heading over for a lap on Fisher.  If you haven't ridden the new section of trail, I highly recommend trying it out ... it is in perfect shape with outstanding grip.  Also noticed that some sections of Fisher have been cleared of leaves and debris in preparation for next Sunday's trail work day.

Rode all of Fisher and Allison today. The trail was in great shape and I love the improvements. Thanks to Mark and the trail crew. Gotta make the next workday.

BTW, Mark, the shock is working perfectly now. The only noise is me wheezing on the climbs. Thanks for the quick turnaround on the repair!

Yup.  That's it.  Gonna be a whole lot more on the right side of that power line cut!

Too bad you can't overlap the topo lines at that property. Lots of elevation.

Note:

If you don't like tight, technical single track with lots of switch backs and "puzzle" sections you will be guaranteed to not like this trail! Shocked

Man I didn't even realize there was a second section. Is the entrance to it by the big rocks section?

Entrance is at the powerline right of way off the road coming in to the right.  You can exit at the rock section and cross the road to get to the entrance.

Yep, I'm stupid enough to own 2 bikes with those valves.  12 total.  Where was your avatar taken from?

That shot was at Barber. It is now a dedicated superstock machine. Had plans to race VIR and CMP this year until I broke my arm at Baileys.

I've always wanted to do Barber but never have.  Never was a fan of CMP but I haven't done it on a motorcycle since they reworked turns 11 and 12 (I think that's right, the 2 before the last one onto the front straight anyway).  Always liked VIR north full and grand.  South and patriots not so much.

Back on Topic though, Allison Farms is my favorite section at Fisher.  Reminds me of Poplar some.

Or you can just ride down the road to the power line cut and enter from there.  Smiley

Enjoy!

Went and rode the Allison side yesterday and loved it. Lots of elevation changes, some bigger rocks and of course tight and twisty. Quite a different flavor than the Fisher trail. Guess I need to start ponying up for trail workdays.

Is the blue trail on Allison Farms not open yet?  Maybe it was the skull on the sign, but the black seemed too intimidating...

The blue that is there just takes you to the end of the black loop and brings you back to where you started...for now.  We'll be working on the next blue, flow loop soon.  It will be on the other side of the power line ROW.

Don't let the deer skull and black diamond scare you. It's fun.  Just tight, twisty and a little technical.

I plan on riding there tomorrow morning if you'd like the 50 cent tour! Smiley

What's the mileage for the new section? Can't wait to try it out.
