Pisgah has earned a growing reputation for having some of the best trails in the country, and this five-day, fully supported endurance event delivers an unmatched sampler platter of some of the best singletrack in the country. The course includes the East’s most rugged trails. Come sample spring riding in Pisgah National Forest with rhododendron tunnels, picturesque creek crossings, incredible leaf colors, and rooty, rocky singletrack. After spending a week getting to know and appreciate the bounty of Pisgah National Forest, you won’t want to leave.

Timed Enduro Sections each day!
This will showcase the true descenders in the endurance world.  The timer at the start at the top will have a hand held chip reading device and the bottom timer at will have a small structure in place with a chip reading device attached to a laptop computer.  Riders will not need to slow as they enter or exit either timing area but can continue to ride normally along the route.  The “enduro” section will be included with registration fees and applicable for all participants in the event. We’ll be handing out Enduro awards too!

THIS IS DESIGNED AS A TRUE RACE NOT A TEST OF SURVIVAL.

Pisgah National Forest is well known for its rooty, rocky, often slick terrain (due to the heavy rainfall in a temperate rainforest) and boasts over 400 miles of singletrack and ‘half’ track trails. This backcountry race puts internationally ranked professional mountain bike racers alongside avid community riders at the start line and finds them swapping stories at the finish line.

The weeks’ events include 5 days of racing, a recovery zone with snacks and recovery drinks at the race finish, Leaders’ Awards Ceremony and Happy Hour following each evening with adult beverages, exquisite local catered dinner 6 nights, and a Closing Ceremony Celebration Party.

This is designed as a true race, not a test of survival. We have fully stocked rest stops, including medical staff and mechanical assistance, however if you want to send anything extra to the rest stops we will shuttle your items each day.

Pisgah National Forest is connected to the town of Brevard by a paved pathway. We encourage you to use this as you travel from your hotel/campsite to town for dinner & entertainment each night. Some campgrounds and hotels are located within 1.5 miles of the Start/Finish on stage 1 & 2. Entertainment is provided each night at the Brevard Music Center which is approximately 5 miles from the Start/Finish.
