Descent on Keyauwee and wrecked pretty bad.  Helmet saved me and ripped open a few big gashes on the rocks.  Dragged my broken bike off the trail and just laid down on the side of the trail for awhile...

After I woke up decided it was time to upgrade to a new bike.
Went from a Marin Bobcat to a Scott Genius.

Seen at the left parked at the TH @ Poplar Tent

Back when Fisher Farm had bidirectional traffic over the first and second stream/culvert crossings.  The trail didn't drop down and cross as soon as it does now and had a pretty sharp left hander before crossing.  Going too fast and turned the front wheel too sharp ended up with me OTB doing a geological survey with my chin.  Gave myself whiplash and headaches for 2 straight weeks!

E Autry was right behind me and witnessed it all. Shocked

I crashed August 26 riding DH at Snowshoe. I went down just before the Cupp Cake gap jump, hit the ground hard, then rolled off the side of the jump (6 Feet straight down), got up and rode down to Westridge road where Graig and Austin (bike patroles) were waiting for me to ride Skyline with them. I passed out 3 times and didn't ride the rest of the season. You ask Scott ,Rocky and Josh about that. Looking forward to next year now!!
