Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

To all the people who only want carbon for Christmas, spend their free time clearing drains and building berms, would rather ride through the woods with a headlamp in the middle of the night in 20 degree weather than sit at home, who always ask if a stopped rider is ok or needs a tool, who sees the person with the cool bike at the trail head and will randomly start talking parts with someone they don't know, to the guy who gave me a beer out of his own stash when he saw I had the worst ride of life going down that stupid overgrown south mills river trail, to all the trailblazers who make Charlotte one of the highest trail count/quality big cities around......

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!! Smiley Cheesy Wink Grin Tongue Cool Roll Eyes

Indeed!  Merry Christmas to all the trailblazers!  As I type this I'm wondering if I can pull off a Christmas day ride.  My gut is no....esp after the kids tear through their gifts.  BUT a big Christmas Eve ride IS in order. Cool

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

What a unique community of unique people (many differences, but one common love).

I travel around the US for work, talk to people, & tell them about the great 160 or so "local" trail miles available to us around Charlotte, and they are impressed & jealous. Then I tell them that within 1-2+ hours is Kerr Scott, DuPont, Pisgah, etc. & they really get pissed.

Those trail miles are awesome, BUT, I tell them that none of the trails would be rideable if not for the people who are consistently, persistently, continually & thankfully maniacally dedicated to building and maintaining those trails!!!!!!!!!!

For those who haven't ever, of your New Years resolutions, make one that you don't break be to step out and volunteer to participate in at least 2 trail work days in 2017. It's amazing what a help that is and what a difference if makes if you do.

Please come out and help in 2017.

Happy Holidays to TTBs!!!

Post of the year right here.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone and their families. Maybe one of these days we'll have a ride when I'm not working  Undecided, haha.

Double that. Finally got out today after more than 3 weeks and all I could think of was what a present to me the conditions on monbo and hawks Norwood and Hicks. Thrill Will and his trail elves make smile big. I'm in for 2 trailwork days.
