Abstract Thinking: Local Abbreviations

Do we abbreviate Backyard Trails (BYT), Tarheel Trailblazers (THTB), and the Whitewater Center (WWC) at the syllable level to adjust for the left side of the bell curve in our populace or is this a bastadization by the millennials?

I will just go back to saying those trails over on tyvola road next to the sewer plant. I just got tired (lazy) typing backyard trails all the time. I'm a 48 year old mellennial never I though I would hear that one. Great way to start off the new year!😆
