Article says they have the first MBT Trail in Cabarrus County.  I thought Rocky River Trail was in Cabarrus county, but maybe my geography is off.  Someone go check it out and let me know how the trails are.

I found out a long time ago not to believe everything I read in the media(!) . But yes RRT is in Cabarrus County, though it's private and might not be considered by public officials. But the Harrisburg Half is public and is in Cabarrus County.

PS I don't think the trails have been built yet.

Yes it has been built, It's a whopping 2 miles.
I begged them to make 4 miles + but Cabarrus is a bit out of tune to the MTB comuunity.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

That's not worth getting off the trainer for.

It might be the first public, but def not the first.  One of the first trails was Beech Springs, aka Poplar Tent.  Still miss it weekly.  Sad

Didn't know RRT was Cabarrus?  Proper Address is Charlotte, isn't it?

For the record RRT is definitely in Cabarrus County. 2575 Parks Lafferty Road, Concord. I have seen it listed on some of the trail sites as Charlotte however. Beech Springs was the first in Cabarrus that I know of and is missed by all who rode there.

Don't worry Steve, RRT is a more than worthy replacement.  (Just a little further to get there. Wink). And you definitely win the elevation award!

Went and did a little walk about at the park today. Didn't ride as it was still wet. Pretty cool park otherwise with a lot of open areas. Will ride it when it dries out somewhat.
