Large Tree Down @ Beatty

Wanted to pass along that there is a large tree down at Beatty. This one is going to take a real chain saw as its apx. 24-30" in diameter. Location is after the three amigos and just before the bridge over the small creek. You'll know you are close when you start seeing the pink flagging tape for the new development. Speaking of which they certainly have whacked a lot of trees over there. Hope it doesn't cost us any mileage on the trails...

Probably me, but those directions seem to be riding reverse?
ie before 3 amigos in the newer intermediate section by the new bridge that was moved for that construction. (bridge with the sign)

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the heads up. I am assembling a misfit team of crack lumberjacks to save the green trail.

The trail was rerouted in that area last year because it did wander on to private property.  The existing trail is totally on park land so it's safe.

Nice work guys.  And thanks!  (I know you probably dont hear it often enough!) ;]
(looks like you were the 3rd shift team from that pic...) ;]

The trail continues to look good overall.

Yeah, thanks to Tom for coming down and showing that tree what's what, and in the dark too. It took down a couple of small trees with it, and was pretty sketchy.
