Best grips with end cap that don't weigh much?  Going to use for downhill.

If you are going to ride DH, why do you worry about how much the grips weigh?

I've ridden ODI ruffian's for years, it is a go to grip for a lot of people.

I'm a big fan of the Renthal Kevlar grips.

This is like recommending a saddle to someone else. It is all a matter of personal preference. I found through experimentation that I prefer fat grips.

Started with Lizard Skins Peaty lock-on, they were OK, but a little hard. Then picked up some Specialized Enduros from the LBS. I liked the larger diameter and softer feel, but they did wear kinda fast. Now i'm running the ODI Rogues, I quite like them so far.

Admittedly, weight has never been a thought for me when it comes to grips.

Never really considered weight when it came to grips, but I'm an ODI fan.  I rode the Troy Lee Designs for years and loved them.  Recently, I've gone to Ruffians, which I like too.  The TLD's are thicker, very tacky, and provide a bit more comfort.  But their tackiness also leads them to wear faster and gather gunk.  The Ruffians are nice too, in that they don't get gunk sticking to them and are plenty grippy.  The only thing about the Ruffians I don't like is I tend to get more hand numbness using them.

I tried bolt ons when they came out. Not near as cushy as these. Still using the old tried and true Oury grips.

I've used ODI Rogues for years, just wondering how the Ergons stack up.
