I was going to take my wife out riding for her first time last evening but it rained. Is there anywhere in the Charlotte area that is rideable today?

SWDP is open. You may want to skip the new option off of the Tamale loop. It would be very soft after the rain and the gully crossing would be muddy.

Rest of trail should be ok.

Anne Springs is open. Conditions were favorable. Sugar was in the best shape probably because it has a high elevation. Ride all the trails there while you can cause any day they are going to lose a portion of the trails. They are adding more trails to replace the ones being lost, but won't be the same.

We ended up going to Jacob Fork Park (Wildlife Trail) in Newton Sunday afternoon. It was a bit tough on my wife & daughter though. I probably should have scoped it out first but they pressed through. My daughter even went around a second time with me while my wife took a breather at the trail head.

That's a great trail up there! I don't think many people from Charlotte get up that way but it's only about 3 miles from my inlaw's house. I take my bike with me every time we go see them.

You can always ride the gravel path around whitewater center blvd.  It never ever closes.
