While we have our local motorsports celebrities seen on the roads and trails around the metro area, I though some of you might like this recent article (with great photos) from CycleWorld talking about the MotoGP crowd and their ties to cycling.  While all of these drivers and riders are exceptional athletes, there is an even more expectation with these two-wheeled racer to excel on bikes.  Check out the article here>>>  (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Just last year, Guy Martin, a madman on two wheels skipped the 2016 Isle of Mann TT to focus on his mountain bike racing.  The race…. Tour Divide (2712 miles across the Rockies)  Here’s his story here>>> (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

BTW, Guy is a trip!  Check out the embedded video in his article.  He is the real life Wolverine on a caffeine binge!  Cheesy

Enjoy the read!

The guy's truly crazy, also had a special with David Coulthard for the F1 guys out there.

I got hooked on MotoGP racing a few years back.  IMO, more fun to watch than any other racing.
Those guys do some amazing stuff on those bikes.  Pretty fit, also.

Yeah, I have been a MotoGP fan for many, many years and been to a few races.  No better racers in the world IMO when you consider the power/weight ratio and the tracks they race.  AND they race in the rain!  (insert NASCAR jokes here) Several of these guys love all types of two-wheeled racing although I'm sure some of the top guys have clauses in their contracts prohibiting certain activities.

I agree the MotoGP guys are badasses, but the dudes that rode the 500cc two strokes without the benefits of electronics are the super studs. Randy Mamola actually had one break his wrist from headshake.
