WWC River Jam Music

Was just out at River Jam and I can tell you that they really need to change their music selection.  The band tonight was a total POS.  Five people entering and 10 people leaving.

Please please please bring back bluegrass to every Thursday night River Jam.

North Carolina is the epicenter of traditional and modern bluegrass music they should be showcasing that talent.

Dang dude.. they werent bad at all.. They sounded like The Meters... I think they even did a Meters cover or two, thats awesome in my book!

Bluegrass is really nice but boring in a live setting like that.. They hit a really good lick last year with DopaPod and TAUK and bands of that nature. Super big sound with an electronica edge that people can cut a rug to!

I am a fan of the band playing out there this Sunday night - Shovels and Rope.  If anyone is going to be out there that evening hit me up.  I would like to meet some of you guys.

This is the only band I like when mountain biking.  Like Advocat said..."Different strokes."

Have you ever seen Greensky, Infamous Stringdusters or Jeff Austin? Jeff Austin looks like a coked up serial killer on stage. Definitely not boring. I agree, the WWC used to be Charlotte's jam band place. Seems they've lost some of that.

Jeff Austin is going to be playing for free at something called concerts on the green in Charlotte. I haven't seen him since he left the YMSB. But he made that band. I sorta wish he would rejoin them. The WWC Labor Day festival is going to have Leftover Salmon. One of the originals and still great

Yeah, he was YMSB. On a good note, going to Floydfest next week so I'll see a ton on good bluegrass acts. Salmon will be there too.

I plan on being out there tomorrow for a bit.  Need to see who is playing.

*Edit, just checked the site - Acoustic Syndicate!  I love these guys!  But then again I like Bluegrass, Newgrass, Jam Band Music and everything in between!*
