Just curious as to how Rocky River is riding this year? Is it still overgrown like last summer?

This post is garbage. Rocky River is badass and you don't deserve it.

If any one needs me, I'll be over here on my second or third imperial ipa.

yes, just like last summer, the hills are still overgrown, as of this past Saturday (and there's more of them)

In my opinion it's definitely not overgrown. There are a few face slappers here and there; I try to break them off as I ride by when I can. But it's not like the vegetation is brushing against you all the time.

I know for a fact, The trail owner has NO objection to you walking the trail on these less than optimal ride days, and doing some trimming.

Feel free to grab a machette or small hand saw and trim some stuff back. When you get done there, go hit Sherman too.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

I now get about 14 miles on my computer, so yes it has grown, and is awesome.  Give the double black death valley a try off the heartbreak option.

And if you're talking about vegetation growth - it's a non-issue, the trail is awesome.  More awesome than I, as I am reminded at the end of each ride.

The only problem I ever have there is the briars in the beginning and right after gorge; with that said; easy to break those off as you ride by for the next guy.

lets not overreact.  this guy is new and clearly doesn't understand the protectiveness of the group towards this place.  I think he should get a pass.  He didn't call my baby ugly.  Just overgrown.

Burn the witch!!

Haha... yeah sounds like he isnt up to date on what makes a trail awesome.

1. So overgrown you come back looking like you fought 10,000 stray cats using your shins and forearms.

2. Corridor is no wider and a size 10.5 muck boot turned sideways

3. More climbing than descending. at least twice as much...

4. Guaranteed to get Lyme Disease, or Dengue Fever...

5. Snakes are literally everywhere.

...or pretty much every ride in Pisgah between May and October.

Yeah, you definitely took us through 1, 2, and 3 a couple Saturdays ago.  Grin
I haven't been to the doc, so can't confirm 4 yet.

I was like 61% facetious with my post. But trails are closed, therefore everyone is grumpy.

As for wearing long sleeves, that's not something I do unless it's below 50 degrees. So I dunno.

Edit: post was deleted, so now I look like I'm talking to myself.

Cut him a break.

It's not like he went and wrote a message on the Whiteboard asking for the trail to be "un blocked".  I mean who does that...
