What's this plant? (houseplant)

Hey peeps,

Does anyone know what type the plant shown below could be?  I have had it since 2008 and rescued it in a really sad state from a customer's office that was closing at the time.  It probably was bought in the Charlotte area, and I can't tell you how old it is beyond the nine years I have had it.  It has grown from a single, long stalk with few leaves to what it is today and has thrived for years under my low maintenance care.  Stalks lay over when not supported.  It has always been inside near a window.  I moved it from a small nursery pot when I brought it home to an ~18" pot and eventually to another pot similar in size to its current pot.  It only drops leaves that wilt and brown.

Thanks,
-Clay

I believe its referred to as a "Corn Plant".  We have one that's gotta be 20+ years old.  Has it bloomed on you yet?  They do every so often and the smell is sickly sweet.

I don't think it is a "corn plant", because it has never had woody trunk.  I see these types of plants often at Lowe's and Home Depot among their tropical houseplant staples.

It looks like we have a winner.  The full scientific name apparently is "Dracaena deremensis".  Thanks, Fred!  You get your choice of any stuffed bike riding bear on the top row.
