Sram bleed with funnel

I just did a "bubble bleed" on my XT brakes on my hardtail using the funnel at the lever and some fresh oil which got a bit of bubbles out (although I did not do a full bleed pumping new oil in at the caliper).  This got me wondering, is there a way I can do this on my Sram Force HRD brakes?

The Avid bleed kit has two syringes but no funnel.  Would it be possible to attach one of the syringes with the handle off and use it effectively as a funnel to do a quick bubble bleed like you can with Shimano brakes?  Has anyone ever tried this?  I obviously do not want to use my Shimano funnel and mix Mineral Oil with Dot 5.1 fluid even if the threads did match.

You can.  Just fill the syringe half full and pump the brake lever.  Bubbles should start migrating up the hose into the syringe.
