Superhero spotted at LKN

I came across a real superhero on Laurel yesterday.  He was armed with merely a rake.

Thanks Brian for raking Wildlife and Laurel.  So much fun

Wow, I commend this man.  Raking by hand takes quite a bit more time then a blower.  Thanks for the effort.

Way to go, Brian!! I met Brian and Will about a month ago and I'm glad someone is taking care of LNSP!

BTW, Will is the ranger I met and not Will W.

Oops, I realized that Brian hasn't finished Laurel yet.  He was more than half way when I passed him today.  Sorry for giving bad info.

Rakeman (Brian) said it took 8 days to rake Wildlife, Fallstown and Fox loop.  The trails he has finished are in great shape, tho some leaves and pine needles are dropping again.  Brian said he will run the big rig blower thru after he finishes raking.

I am happy he's at LKN for us.

The club did have two blowers for LNSP. I would blow a section of trail until the blower ran out of fuel, then I would take a rake and shovel to finish that section of trail, clearing drains and cleaning off what the blower wouldn't get off. It is a big job, but it really make a difference. I see there's a workday this weekend, so I'm sure Brian would love some help. Please if you can, give him a hand!!

Every superhero needs a sidekick!  Show up this weekend to lend Brian a hand, he will be working on both Saturday and Sunday to clear Monbo.  Starting at 10am both days.  There is a thread in the trail work section for the trail work too, post up if you are
Coming!

Will, I'm looking forward to meeting you.  I will be out to help on (my favorite trail) Monbo Sunday.  I have coaching commitments with my daughters basketball team on Saturday (priority, kids).

Thanks for what you all do for my ride time.

David, I wish I could see you out there but I'll be out of town.  I'm just trying to get the word out so Brian can get some help!!!!  Some of the other LKN trial crew regulars will be out there though.

I do want to mention that anyone who helps on trail work at LKN will get an invite to private Trailblazers night rides at the park this winter sanctioned by the rangers.  Make sure Brian or I gets your contact info at a workday!

Have a safe trip Will.  Not sure Blower Boy (Brian's alter ego) needs help on Monbo.  Saw him blowing the trail today, and it looked like he would get it done based on his pace.  I'm so happy we have him out there.

From my understanding he is still going to be working all weekend so I would still come out if you can.  He is just going to move on to hawks hicks and Norwood.  If we have some people show up this weekend we will be done with all of the trails and Brian can get back to riding his bike!
