Does anyone have an extra 7.875 x 2.25 (200 x 57) shock they could sell for cheap or let me borrow? Smiley

Looking to "long shock" my bike as an experiment.

Thanks!

I have a 2018 Fox Float DPS Evol Shock in that dimension that I tried on my bike as a "long shock" experiment and learned a few things that I could share. What bike is the intended to go on as the leverage curve matters since shocks have specific valving to match leverage curves?

The shock I have came off of a 2017 Ibis HD3 and I put it on a 2016 Santa Cruz 5010. I found I needed a 2mm offset bushing and a 2mm internal spacer to prevent the shock from hitting the frame at full compression. (I have an extra 2mm offset bushing if needed)

This is bike dependent but once you start stroking the suspension farther than it was designed for you must make sure the frame has clearance for it. Attached is the HD3 leverage curve for reference.
