I would first pick your price point because that will determine what your real options are for selecting a bike. However I would make sure the bike has a 1x and a dropper post and tires that can be converted to tubeless. Have fun with testing out bikes! Check out local bike shops or bike manufacture websites for when they will be having demos in the area.

A lot of great shops represented here. And a lot of very good bikes out there.

But from my experience, you should definitely pay The Cycle Path a visit.

It's educational.  Smiley

Mark does a great job of matching your type of riding to a particular bike. The personalized service is unbeatable. And he sometimes has deals you wont find at any other full service shop.
