I am selling my 2002 Ducati 748.

This bike is amazing. Its in excellent condition with only 9000 miles.

It just had a full service, which included new tires, chain and timing belt among other work. Right after the service was completed I took it on a 1000 mile ride up to the WV mountains and it just tore up the twisties. It is in excellent mechanical and physical condition. There are a few chips and scratches on the bodywork - typical of a 16 year old bike.

Reason I'm selling is that I am, unfortunately, too old, too fat and a little too tall for the ergos of this bike. I've always wanted to own one and have really loved every mile of the 6k miles I put on in the 4 years I've owned it, But I realize that I need something a little less leaned over... And I'd love to see it in the hands of someone else who will love it.

Here's a link to the CL ad:

I will offer a much better price to a THTB member.

Beautiful bike.  I've got a 2002 998 that I bought new.  I'm at the age now where I would rather look at it than ride it also.  Good luck with the sale.

Hahaha! Thanks man! Yeah, I kinda wish I had space in my house (and a wife that would allow me) to just display it as a piece of art!
