Where to Demo and Buy a Bike?

I'm fresh moved into town and looking forward to riding the local trails and joining the Trailblazers.  I'm tired of my 1999 Intense Tracer that I have been riding for 15 years.  I know tech has progressed much, and I'd like to demo some modern bikes and buy one in the next few weeks.  Being new in town, I have no idea where to go.  Could you offer suggestions on a shop that has demos available?

Cyclepath in Cornelius or South Main Cycles in Belmont is where I would go.  Both are worth the drive.

Closet to you would be Ultimate Bicycle in Matthews. Theres Trek in south Charlotte, Bikesource off Park Road, Bicycle Sport off (Selwyn Ave I believe), South Main Cycles in Belmont. North Charlotte area there is Trek, Cyclepath, Get in Gear towards Concord area.

Any brand you are looking for?

I will add NC Velo to the mix on Rea road. Both they and Trek of South Charlotte are great folks and have supported trail development in South Charlotte.

Crossroads in Statesville is a good shop, they seem to be able to get Trek's that nobody else can

Bikesource was out at the White Water Center yesterday from 2-6 with a few Santa Cruz and Specialized bikes.

Will be back there Sept 20th.

Head to Pisgah and visit The Hub or Sycamore Cycles.  Both have huge fleets of rental bikes, plus end of season sale time is near.  Great way to get a sweet ride at a discount.  I think I need to go to Brevard.   Smiley

Thank you everyone for the intel.  That's going to help me a lot.  Especially intel on any "end of year" sales.  That's super good news.
