I read on here at some point about an insurance broker that was also a MTBer - I'm shopping around and would love to give him/her a chance!

State Farm Agent Russ Levinton was a Corporate Donor for the Beatty Park pump track project.  Perhaps that is who you are thinking of.
I'm not with Russ but am with State Farm and find them very competitive and they have not let me down over the years.
