Please consider using the contact information in the above link, emailing Black Diamond Designs, thank them for their help at Uharrie, and request that they build some jumps along the downhill sections or at least one decent jump out there as an alternate line off to the side of a main trail.  So much potential at Uharrie, and so many people I know have wondered if it might be possible to make such an enhancement or even build a true jumpline there.  We might as well make use of this contact information and see what happens.

Blake I tried to contact you about finishing that jump out at BYT. Why haven't I heard back from you yet? If jumps are something you won't that badly why don't you step up and contact them yourself. You never know if you don't try right? Just don't go out and do it yourself you might end up like the hick hucksters and that would not be good for anyone. Unless you have extra time on your hands and very deep pockets.

Tom-  No duh.  Worker-rider- just post a work day for the jumps, seriously.

One person contacting them, y'all, will not be as effective as all three of us contacting them or the entire Tarheel Trailblazers contacting them.  If we did, Tom and Worker, the "final say" might go our way.  Just stating the obvious.  Over and out.

Another thing you might not know about uwharrie is that it has lots of native american sites in that area and anything you do has to have a study done. It can take years to have things in a national forest done. Some of the board members can fill you in on how long this process can take and it can take years and thousands of dollars that I dont think they have at the moment. It took many years just to get lake norman up and running and that is just a state forest. Not quite sure how long it took to re route all the trail that they did and to put the connector to woodrun in? I think it would be a great idea out that way! I no longer have the drive to put together anything of this nature. After 30 years of dealing with what I have I would really just like to ride my bike and not have to go to any more meetings or deal with anymore red tape! Step up and take the lead on this and I think you would have club support. If you wont it that bad put your time into it and see what happens. If you dont ask then you will never know!
