Anyone interested in going for some medium pace night rides after work during the week? Probably will be riding around 6 or 7ish. Not for any specific day or week, just in general.

I was thinking Francis Beatty, WWC, and Poston. Any recommendations on other trails that allow it?

does the WWC allow night riding?  for some reason I thought they didn't..  the website says dawn till dusk so I've never tried.

I've never been at night myself but I heard from a couple of other riders who have gone that the trails stay open, so hopefully they're right lol.

Night rides are OK at WWC.  Never had a problem there.   Watch "They Only Come Out at Night" section too for scheduled night rides.

You can ride WWC anytime you like, night or day, as long as trail status says OPEN!

do you have to park outside or anything?  I can't recall if they had gates at the main entrance to the parking lot or not...

You can also night ride at Rocky Branch Park.

With regard to WWC, there is no gate, but you still need to go by the gate house and show your pass (or pay).

WWC is my go-to spot for night riding this time of year.  Beatty does not allow night riding except on organized rides which are announced in the night riding section.  RRT is another good spot

I like WWC at night and there is usually some activity and the guard in the shack. Last year the bike shop in Belmont had a Wednesday night ride at 6 with beers after

Actually it is less scary at night, because you dont have much perception of what is really around you to scare you!

Heck the first time I rode there some hooligans dragged me there for a night ride  Grin. Not only was it night, and 20 minute in, it started raining. Then they lured me to the plunge. Nothing like going down it on a fall leaf covered, wet, dark trail!

Actually one of my favorite rides when first attempting a trail. 😀 Thanks to Doc and Cats!

I'm good for a night ride at WWC during the week.  Mondays and Wednesdays are usually best for me.

Sweet, let's do it. With the weekends weather, looks like Monday may not be an option but if the trails are open Wednesday let's go then

If you guys are going night riding at wwc I want in.  I just started a new job down that way, and I was thinking about doing a ride on the way home.

I'm in for next Wednesday assuming the trails are open.  I usually try to start at 5:30 or so.
