thinking of calling in "sick" tomorrow to get some riding in.

Seems like Lake Norman is open? Anything to look out for there as I've never ridden there before

Hey Matthew, “NottheRanger” is just pulling your leg.  You’ll love the LNSP trails...and except for one who’ll go unnamed, the Rangers are cool.   Tongue.   As to conditions, the Monbo trail (6.2 mi.) is in great shape and you’ll enjoy the roller coaster feel. The Wildlife tri-loops (8+ mi.) is great as well.  If you want a real work-out, Laurel (9 mi.) should be in good shape.  The Hawk tri-loops (7 mi) are in need of some TLC in spots but otherwise a good ride.

Depending on how many miles you want to ride, try riding Monbo first, it’s a great place to start.

Remember that all LNSP bike trails are counter-clockwise this year (2019 odd yr) meaning, you’ll take all right turns at trail/loop intersections (Y’s).

Word on the trail is: Monbo is in the best shape (because someone keeps doing a killer job clearing it). And Laurel is WET! Leaving the first section a little sloppy-- and "the hill" not possible for many.

Rode Monbo this afternoon.....if that first downhill section doesn’t get your fires burning...your wood’s wet!

If you like that sidewalk feel! We should rename it "rootless".  The trail pavers have been doing a great clearing the drains on Monbo, but do you have to remove every root?

Sounds like you had a bad time.  Maybe you french fry'd when you were supposed to pizza?  Anyhoo, let us know if you need some preparation H for that butthurt.

Laurel and her add-ons were great yesterday.  Plenty of mud spots and slick corners though, so not quite it's usual high speed rollercoaster self.

Your opinion is wrong, solely because it's not my opinion.

I am a huge fan of skiers, without them we wouldn't have so many awesome lifts to ride up.  On my snowboard it's mostly one fry, and no pizza.  I've never been on skis but thanks for the advice

I remember the days before they let us boarders use the lifts "for safety reasons", kind of like why they ban jumps at LKN.  "if someone gets hurt hitting jumps they'll close all the trails on us" which I seriously doubt.    Silly, isn't it?

Is the jumpline open?  If so, I'm down.  Not much else there makes it worth riding IMHO

Why is everyone so excited about Mombo trail being cleared out. They are taking out every Root and rock in there. Pretty disappointed
