Maxxis Agressor Vs Ardent

Currently running 27.5 Maxxis HR2 2.4 and was looking at switching to Aggressor or Ardent in 2.3 size.  Anyone have any experience with these tires around the Charlotte area ?
Or would the DHR2 2.3 be a good option ?

Mainly looking for something that rolls a bit faster than my current setup

I have the ardent and roles well. Cuts out a lot of wash out but not all (sand like Beatty still poses issues)I came from a continental king so the role was a bit slower for me but your obviously opposite of that. The tire has last well longer than my cont. Kings.

Current FS bike has 27.5x2.4 Ardent up front, 27.5x2.35 Aggressor....so, experience in the current peanut butter conditions have been mediocre, however in dry conditions, the Aggressor is spot on! Definite for a hopeful dry, dust, rocky trail inflicted summer

On a hardtail, ran a 29x2.35 Ardent up front with a Ardent Race 29x2.25 & well, that was perfect for around here too, but on a hardtail NON-Carbon ride.

Just my 2 cents!

I like Ardents and a wider tire up front won't slow you down any IMO.  These tires can feel like they wobble or squirm to me in hard corners - kind of hard to explain - but something that may get your attention when you ride them.  Overall I think they are great tires.  Good balance of rolling resistance and grip.

I liked the Aggressor 2.3 on the rear of my last bike with a Minion DHF on the front. I felt it rolled fast and had plenty of traction in any conditions locally that wouldn't close the trails. It was also great in WNC. If felt it was it rolled faster than a 2.3 Spec Purgatory that I had on before it but had a little less grip. And more grip than a Minion SS but not as slower rolling than you would expect.

I run a Minion DHF up front and Aggressor in the rear, both in 2.3. Best tires I've ever had (and I've run Butcher, Purgatory, The Captain, etc.)

I ended up buying both a 2.4 Ardent and 2.3 Aggressor,  tired out both versions and liked the Aggressor a bit more.  Both much faster than the HR2.  Will probably end up with a Minion up front when I need a new one there.
