If you are driving to North Meck Park the entrance is closed, the park is doing road work at the entrance.  You can still access the park by driving about 200 feet north and turning left into Christ Community Church.  There's a traffic light at this spot as well, it's the corner of McCord & Old Statesville(115).   

Once you enter the church drive(slowly) to the back of the parking lot and look left.  There's a service gate to NMP that is open.
