OK back in the saddle again so I went out to SWD to get my Slay on and there are three trees down. I just rode over the first one but the next one needs a good cutting, if someone has a chainsaw ., which I am pretty sure someone does, would you like to come help me cut it out. I am going to walk the trail this week and clean it up from face slappers and derailur eaters . Also gonna work on some other parts the trail. Basically groom it. It needs love . I love this trail, it is one of my favorite trails to ride, not to challenging but if you put in the laps you will get rewards on other trails. I am going to look into the DH lines and maybe do something nice to them. Also going to work on the entrance, the new little section my Buddy Brad a I cut in a year ago back. If your interested in this let me know cause we could actually have a work day, I know it's too hot but that's why there is water so , hit me up and let me know. I am going out of town next Monday till Friday so when I get back I am going to begin the work. This trail is fabulous . RAMFB and we call do .

Hey Rocky, I have 5 chainsaws, but live 6 hours away. If I was there, I'd have those trees gone! Come up and RAMFB with me sometime!!

So I heard from "trips for kids" about some trees down on Tamale loop a week ago. I went out there Sunday afternoon (great weather). There was a big old rotten tree down at the low point after the first drop. I cleared most of it, but then the chain came off before I could finish. Anyway, at least now it's not a "hike a bike"... you can walk the bike around what's left. Are there other trees down?

I put up some new signage in the parking area a couple weeks ago also... the old signs had been vandalized.

In early June I gave the trail a haircut but it's probably ready for another "clip".

I also replaced some rotten boards in the main bridge. I'm worried about that bridge in general... seems like when deck boards go rotten, more will follow.

Anyway, feel free to do work out there... just post here and let us know what you do so we can all enjoy the love.  Kiss

Hey Rocky (or anybody), have you been out there this week? Are there other down trees to deal with besides the one at the bottom of Tamale? Hoping to not walk the whole trail searching in the heat and humidity  Tongue

Hi all,
I was just out at Southwest a couple hours ago and cut the last two downed trees off of the main loop. I believe Tamale and Main are completely clear now.

Thanks... that would be good.

I just spent a couple hours out there today raking and blowing. It's amazing how much debris had accumulated. No sticks in spokes now in case anyone wants to ride!

Hank could also use a hand with bridge/trail building on the new loop. PM if you're interested in that.
