Dumb membership drive challenge

It's the last week of our fall membership drive. Join the Trailblazers in October and you have 3 awesome ways to win. But today we're going to throw out a deeply stupid stretch goal. We're at 72 signups/renewals for the month. If we can get to 100 before November, our President, VP, and Treasurer (me, David Krause, Evan St Clair) will singlespeed the entirety of Weed Patch, an activity we have little to no business doing.

Doh.  Went to renew to bump the Weed Patch numbers and found out that I'm covered until May 2020.

I know, I know. Your write up was what motivated me to check it out last winter in the first place. But I am a mere mortal that puts in those dad miles, and I have all of 10 ss rides under my belt so far.

If you're asking about Weed Patch, it's a 20 mile out and back in Lake Lure, with somewhere around 4500-5000 ft total climbing and approximately a billion switchbacks. My strava for a geared ride said 4+ hours moving time, and with sight seeing, climbing around on rocks, and gasping for breath, total trip was 6 hours.

In Belmont, 

Get off I85 S at the first Belmont exit (27) after the river.  Make a left onto Park St. 2nd light make a right.

Oh and MTBProject says there are 15 trees down as of two weeks ago so we need to bring the chain saw with us.  I will let you carry it up and I will bring back down.
