Spring Break Trip with 6 year old advice

We want to do a trip with our 6 year old daughter for her spring break in April. We are from the west coast and not totally familiar with this area yet. Any advice on someplace within 4 hours or less that will be warm enough to take her and stay a couple nights? She can do the Lake Trail at WWC with only a few places she gets off and walks, but not much more than that. I would appreciate any thoughts...

Dupont State Forest.  Their are some trails there that would be fine for her if she can ride the WWC lake trail.  Plus they have covered bridges and more Waterfalls then you can shake a stick at. Also a childrens skill building area.  The key would be staying on the right trails or just using the many fire roads.  The local bike shops in Brevard can help you with that though. The Hub and/or Sycamore Cycles.

I've never been here, but have heard that these trails are very beginner friendly. If your into camping, Half their sites are lake side. While the other half are lake view.
Cub Creek in Wilksboro are mostly flat and easy. Virginia Creeper trail in Dumascus, VA, is a rail trail that has a really gental grade. Most folks take the shuttle up to white mountain. And enjoy a mild 16 mile downhill ride back to Dumascus. It follows the Appalachian trail for a short while. There are many outfitters in town that offer shuttles.
