That wind sure made another mess sticks etc. Lower sections are good to ride. Lot of sticks and junk in general down. There are 3 spots that will be requiring a dismount due to trees down. We will get them as time allows next few days, could of been better or worse play the hand we're dealt.  Be careful keep your eyes open for debris on trail.

I believe that all the major blockages have been cleared other than one that affects a spot on the green loop only. Will clear that today. There is one cedar I've been told intrudes into trail space but does not block it. I just have not been able to locate it. Thanks for the many offers to help on clearing this last storm damage. Come ride and kick a few sticks off the trail and soon it be pretty much as it was. Steve

Can’t thank you enough for the amount of time and work you put in to this trail.  One last tree is on the way to the plunge.  Right after the 2 little jumps then up the steep little uphill.

Spider webs are clear, get out and ride.  Put some extra cash in that donation box if you have it.  Steve dedicates his time and property just so we have a place to ride.

How big of a tree is the one before the plunge so I will know what saw to bring?

If I had to guess it’s about 1 ft in diameter.

I appreciate all of the work that goes into this trail.  I tried it out this past week after not giving it a go in quite awhile. Great job on the enhanced signage! First time ever I rode it solo and didn't get lost at least once!

PS. I saw a couple of you rolling in without signing the waiver and giving no donation.  Shame on ya! Well worth it.

I see this all the time, there'd be a parking lot full of cars with half the signatures.  Even if you're too cheap to pay 3dollars, at least sign the waiver people, for liability purposes.  Otherwise you're trespassing on private property.

Agreed - Steve does an awesome job maintaining RRT and the trail keeps getting better year after year. It's my go-to trail as I live nearby. I imagine the trail will see more traffic for now as Meck Co. refugees venture out in search of places to ride.

The waiver is non-negotiable since it protects the landowner and you are on private property, but I wonder if some people are afraid of touching the community pens right now. And I almost never have $3 on me, so I just drop a $5 or $10 bill in there every few rides - pretty sure other people do that, too. I wish there was like a "Season Pass" option. Also, Steve - do you have Venmo? If so, what's your username? (That'd make it way easier).

I'm the same with cash.  Sometimes I have $3 and other times I'll throw in a $5 or $10.  I only get out there once a week or so.  Wish I lived closer.

As for the waiver, there are always going to be people that don't follow the rules.  It's especially aggravating given that it's personal property and Steve puts in a TON of work out there.  Maybe we can just peer pressure them into signing it  Smiley

There should be a way to make it so you can sign the waiver for a year. Also can we just drop you like $60 and call it good for a year?

Also thanks for the sweet trail Steve. Still the best in the area

I'm like most these days and buy few things with cash but I remember to bring when going to RRT.

If you can remember to bring your helmet, shoes, and gloves, you should be able to remember to have cash if your going to Steve's.

He expects you to sign the waiver and pay each time.  House rules.  It's not that friggin hard people.
Oh, and I bring your own pen if you get the hebbie jebbies.  Wink

I think were all in the same boat about not having cash sometimes, just bring next time, or the time after, I think Steve understands that. it is an honor system, and some people are honorable and some just not as much.

On a separate note, it's been 2 weeks since I've been there and it looks like Steve and company have been extremely busy with all the downed trees I saw today (more of a reason to donate). That and seeing the lot full always put a smile on my face.  Hoping with all the new exposures that people will come back and make it somewhat worth Steves efforts.

I'm hoping we won't loose this trail anytime soon, because it wasn't that long ago there was that possibility.  Ask the man himself next time you see him.

Thank you Steve!
