Not sure where to address this, but rode Purser-Hulsey last week and there is a section near the end with a muddy valley and some crew work that put a couple concrete pavers in to give a non-muddy path. I hit the pavers last week and popped my tire and my buddy did the same thing yesterday morning. Maybe it's the paver or maybe i'm just riding it wrong, but i wanted to bring it up to the group.

I had never been there before and it was awesome, trail was in great shape aside from a couple muddy spots.

I've hit those pavers with another rider at least 10 times without incident riding both tubeless and tubed.

Over or underinflated tires can cause pinchflats if you hit something at a sharp angle

Sorry, i mean it ripped a hole in my tire, maybe a 4mm gash. Maybe it was underinflated, but that first paver is sticking prolly 4-5 inches out of the ground at a decently severe angle.

Somebody should do something about that.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

Thanks for the heads up, OP. We ran out of time on our last work day before we could get to that section, I’ll make sure it’s a priority.

I apologize and will try to work harder on my days off.

I recommend putting some sticks infront of that spot.  Sticks can fix anything!

I didn't mean to stir the pot, just wanted to let this group know about that spot. I will happily adjust the lead in to that run next time i'm out there!
