This is what I use. I buy the 2 1/2 gallon container of Glyphosate at 41% which is the generic version of Roundup and a gallon container of 2,4-D Weed Killer comes under variety of names it is a broadleaf killer but leaves most grasses alone. Then I mix 3 oz of Glyphosate and 2 1/2 oz of the 2,4-D per gallon of water. Seems this combo has worked well for me.
I use a backpack with about 4 1/2 gallon at a time. I like to get a good fog pattern for larger areas. I've been told that there have been cases of the 2 chemicals when left over time mixed they may solidify, I've never had an issue. I pretty much always use all of what I've mixed and never rinse my sprayer out not saying to follow my example but is what it is.
+1..
You can special order glysophate 41% by the gallon at HD.
My experience is, it works great all buy itself. Give it a week or so to see results. And the results are, whatever you spray that's green, dies.
Wear long pants, rubber boots/gloves, minimum.
I also wear an N95 mask.
And it doesn't hurt to stand up wind of the area you're spraying..
Take a shower and wash yourself off immediately afterwards.
Most of those that have had problems with this stuff, were wearing shorts and literally spraying themselves and are landscape types that use a lot of it. I think the risk to the average user if the precautions in the instructions are observed is minimal.
