Can't see how it fell off, but somehow managed to lose my Garmin Edge 810 in Lake Norman SP today.  It was on the back loops Wildlife/Fallstown/Fox.  Last time I glanced at it I was just heading into the trails... when I knew it was gone was when I popped out of the gully/chute climb on Wildlife (with the three little ups and downs).

Free beer for anyone who comes forward Smiley

I’ll help you go look for it tomorrow after work if it hasn’t been found prior.   JT

Thanks for offering to help!  I have a feeling it was picked up... or it is gone for good in the bushes.  I rode most of the trail a second time very slowly and did not see it.

Due to time conflicts, I won't be able to go out again until Friday, earliest, and by then it will either be found, or under 6" of rain due to Hurricane Sally.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

Just because I'm a smart IT guy doesn't mean I'm wise.  Smiley  Some of my other riding buds are giving me crap because I don't use a lanyard in addition to the mount.  At least it wasn't a GoPro - which one of my friends lost on a gnarly wilderness trail that doesn't have the same traffic as Lake Norman SP!

I found a woman's camera back in Cleveland National Forest in SoCal - about five miles back in the wilderness in a remote area.  I took it home and all it had was photos to try to ID her.  I posted a couple of group photos on our mtn bike site, as well as popular hiking sites in the area.  The following weekend some of my bike friends were doing trail work in another area, and a group of hikers came up, and one of my friends recognized one of the hikers from one of the photos.  "Hey, were you hiking with a woman about a week ago who lost a camera on Harding trail back in CNF?"  Suffice it to say we got her (quite nice) camera back to her!  Karma!
