Is there a website or number to call to find out if DuPont is open to mountain biking?  Or, better yet, is it open this weekend...?

If you are on instagram, you can follow friends of dupont.  They update when there are suggested trail closures.  Or, dupontforest.com

It was open back in late May.  Be ready for very crowded parking lots.  Get there early.

You can also friend Pisgah Area SORBA on FB. DuPont is sandy, so stays open pretty often, it's only been in recent years they've started closing it after all the monsoons we've gotten. But if it's rained recently, be prepared for a good washing after you ride.

+1 on get there EARLY. It has been absolutely insane since COVID hit. I was up there a few weeks ago, started from the Farm and by about 11 or 11:30 the parking lot was completely full, worse than I've ever seen it.
