Ah, nice to see this board is still adverse to people posting their opinions and honest experiences. It's an opinion. If folks had good experiences recently then throw them out there. I have a friend contemplating doing business with Bike Source. If you read their public reviews, many are pretty crappy.
I think the issue is there is a trend behind your posts overs the past few years, and that trend is mostly negative towards mountain biking and the mountain biking community. Not liking trails status, not liking new trails not being open to your satisfaction, acting like there is a conspiracy to keep trails away from the public, not liking how long things take, not liking a shop, not like, not like, not like...I think some of this is sarcasm lost on forums, some being genuine frustration with issues, and some things maybe just keep to kept to yourself...but the trend is there.
That being said and speaking to your question; I personally am neutral to pro Bike Source. I had a bad experience 10 or so years ago when I started getting back into MTBing. I chalk it up to them being a little more "corporate" compared to other shops regarding their policies. But they do have a nice shop, well maintained, great selection, and overall are very well managed. I have a lot of personal friends working their and those who shop there as their primary store. The support the bike community with great sponsorships, trail build days, and showing up to events to provide neutral support.
I personally have a go to shop which is not Bike Source, but my past experience does not prevent me from shopping their as I know in a pinch they have a great selection of parts which most other shops don't carry in stock. And when I do visit they treat me well, are kind, and helpful and the employees are extremely knowledgeable about the bike industry.
So I am neutral as I have another primary shop I go to and pro Bike Source for the reasons listed above.
