Does anyone have any insider information on if WWC will open its trails this week/weekend?

The WWC website indicates the trails are now open.  Maybe some lag time to updating our status field.

Did anyone come across anything obviously new and/or improved over the weekend while out on the trails?  I rode the following route Saturday and came across nothing.

Parking lot to North Main to Jack Rabbit to North Main to Figure 8 to Tortuga to Thread to Needle to Academy to Parking Lot

Their website map looks like the added trail that loops out and back from Rail.  They haven't named it yet.

That Rail offshoot isn't new to their map and still shows as in development for me.  I have wondered if we'd be seeing it as open as we exit Winter since it has been on the map for quite a while.

Rode East, Prairie Dog, Tributary, 1/2 Academy, Thread, Bandit, Smokey, & Needle this afternoon.

I noticed a lot of new drains throughout. Also noticed a couple of short reroutes, but cannot recall precisely where other than one on the Parkway as you exit East and climb towards the guard shack.

Most of that route was dry, cleared of debris and in great shape. Tributary still has a couple of wet spots. Prairie Dog has a lot of ruts - maybe Ride & Seek damage? Thread still has the usual mud holes.

It appeared to me that someone is making an effort to direct water off the trails and I was glad to see that.

Rode East & South this afternoon.  There were some new drains as well as some raked corners.  Didn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to some of the raking.

Would be nice if they quit digging drains in the middle of the corners in fast downhill sections.  There are a couple on Carpet trail that come to mind that are pretty poorly placed.

Saw a reroute and wooden berm bridge right as North becomes South.

Lots and lots and lots of new and cleared drains.
