RRT Tree(s) Down

Rode RRT on Thursday and there were multiple trees down. I meant to post earlier but usually someone beats me to it. A couple were very hard to get around.
My apologies if these have been cleared.

As of Friday afternoon around 5 pm to best of my knowledge everything is clear. Had yet another thunderstorm around 3pm on Saturday the 16th with another inch of hard rain so who knows. My apologies for the amount of debris that have been on the trail this summer. I guess may need a name change to "The Unkempt Trail"  Angryas I've heard it called but it is open. Due to the #of trees that have been coming down haven't had time to do the more enjoyable aspects of trail work. To all that have taken time to to clear what you can Thanks Steve

People stink.  So easy to criticize.   Roll Eyes

Haters take note an inch of rain and the trail is still open!

Thanks for all you do Steve.  Will be on the trail later this morning.  Cool

My post was 100 % not to criticize, simply to inform anyone riding that there may be some difficult sections.

I have met Steve on many occasions and he works  very hard on keeping the trail clear and open. Adding new pieces and part making it one of my favorites trails.

Your response is why I never post on the site. Always someone replying without knowledge.

Troll on.

That's correct.  I figured people were making critical comments elsewhere.  Not directed @ Fallguy.

From riding today was obvious just how much cleanup has been performed.  I can see where all the fallen trees were - yowza.  Big effort.

Thanks Steve

There's another tree down about 20 yards before the start of Gorge Climb - gonna need a (big) saw for that one. Good news is, it's mainly trunk and not canopy.

Also, the first green loop sign that was on a tree near the house and boulders has blown over. I propped the tree up but the next breeze will just knock it down again. Little face slapper on the ride out by the gravel driveway, just after the red gates.

In spite of all the weather, the trail was in great shape - nice and tacky but not really muddy or slick. The low lying sections were dry (the few puddles I came across were up on the main trail). And I surprised a huge doe that was just hanging out in the pine forest between gorge and the fire road climb.

Steve's is the home of classic rock and great trail. Thanks for all you do out there man. I leave some gas/lumber money in the box but often for a couple rides at a time. Do you have a Venmo for days we aren't carrying cash?
