Are we as a club coordinating trailwork at RRT?  I'd like to see this trail continue it's existence.  It's not very close to home, but not far from work for me, so I could potentially help out evenings.

I think it would be a waste of Steve's work to let it fall into disrepair.  I'd be willing to help out if we got a working day together.  I know some others that would be willing as well.  Some of the bridges look like they could use a board or two.

Has Steve's family made any decisions about even continuing to let people ride there?

He did, July 22nd, the day after his 68th birthday.

Quick question, what is going to happen now as far as keeping this trail operational?  I ran out there last week and did notice that the first mile or so was blown off and maybe one of the first bridges looks fixed.  There are some pretty rough bridges later on, just wondering if anyone knew.

From what I've heard an mtb friend of the family spearheading maintenance activities out there, which is likely who did the work you saw.  I don't know who it is, sorry I'm not more help.  Maybe someone will chime in on this thread.

Steve's son Matt went out and blew about 6 miles and then a group of us got the rest of the trail on Saturday morning.  Tracy Krum has been coordinating the community on the CLT Mountain Bikers Facebook group.  From the sounds of it, the family is still making decisions about the property and trail, but in the meantime, they are helping to keep it up.

Rode it Sunday, ran into Matt doing bridge repair work.  Trail was in good shape overall.

Big group of riders out there too.

Awesome, thanks for solving that for me.  I'll hit up the facebook group, wouldn't mind helping out.  We've been holding our race out there for the past 8 years and knew Steve well.
