Hello There

Its time to service my 2008 Specialized AFR Flow Control Rear Shock, as its not retaining air. Called a few places local  but no luck in getting this shock service locally. Tried Fox Factory in Asheville, they referred me to Risse Racing. While waiting for them to return my call I wanted to check with the community on any other options please.

Can anyone local service this shock please?

Thanks

Did you ever get this sorted? If its leaking air it could be a simple float kit rebuild (kits are ~$15 and easy to find). If any of the adjustments aren't working correctly then it likely needs a professional service/ rebuild. But fox rear shocks take nitrogen for the negative air, so anything more than a simple service and it's a lot more of an undertaking. But if everything functions well and it's just the leaking air, the fox float kit has a few orings that I'm happy to walk through the service with ya.

Another thing to check (cheaper and easier) is to check the valve core. I've seen where the valve core comes a little loose and you just put a little blue loctite on the threads and reinstall with a Schrader valve tool (same tool as tubeless core removal) and that might be your zero dollar fix.

Let me know if you want to do bike work some night, haven't seen ya in too long!
