Good ride tonight folks. That was the last "Night Ride" for the season...I hope. Next week we'll be starting in the daylight...and its supposed to be 60 degrees!! 

Congrats to Natedilla for winning the Ultimate Bicycle raffle and lets run it back next week.

I was so jealous watching you guys drive by from my window, working,  and not being able to get out...

And I didn't even hear about the daylight saving time change until the next day to know it was the last...  

Maybe ill get out there in the fall...

Its not the last ride...just the last "night ride"

We still ride every Wednesday at 6:30. After Daylight savings we only need the lights for lap 2 and eventually not at all. Come out anytime!

Im in Black Mountain til tomorrow but if yall wanna ride go for it. Trail is open and should be in decent shape. 

I'll be back to host and hold the raffle for next week's ride at a very social pace. Hope to see yall there 

The rides will be posted in the "local rides" section until this fall when we need our lights again.

Yes! We usually start it up after daylight savings time as an official night ride. We have a (day?)ride every wed (unless the trail is closed) until then. Come on out and join us. Its a good group and a bunch of the trail crew usually in attendance. (join us for some trailwork too, we do it all)!

Yes ride is on for tomorrow! First lap 5:30, second lap 6:30, third lap with Ultimate bike peeps at about 7:15 or so.

Not sure if it is listed or not.  Is the first lap more social pace, then the subsequent laps are at a quicker pace?  Also, what route is taken, is it both the intermediate and expert routes?

The first lap is usually the faster than the second one. The third one is usually also fast because only certain people stay for it. It really depends on who shows up though so it can vary from week to week. The route is usually all the trails starting at the tennis courts. So start on green, then the black options, then back on green then blue then back on green etc. Sometimes that varies again depending on who is there and who feels like doing what. The first lap is pretty much always the whole place but then the second and third lap can sometimes vary.

I'll try to get out there tomorrow night to lead the 2nd and 3rd laps.  It'll depend on what work has waiting for me tomorrow afternoon, but should be there.  We'll make a game time decision on pace and if we run in one or multiple groups based on who and how many folks show up.  At a minimum we always stop a couple times if we have large variation in the group to make sure no one gets left out in the dark.
