(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) So what is anybodies take on this race. Is it a death March through the woods? Can you walk a lot and still live? Haven't rode a lot in Pisgah, but was looking for a fun ride to sample more of what's out there. Would be a plus with support Roll Eyes Tongue

It looks like its a shorter version of the Swank 65 with farlow gap taken out.  Nothing to difficult. Butter Gap was a fun trail.  All the climbing basically takes place on fire roads.

Shearing the shaft member after a hard ride is acceptable in my book.

It's all very rideable. The climb up Cove Creek is not technical at all and a moderate grade. A couple log bridges you may walk over instead of ride. Then there is fire road to climb up to Daniels Ridge. Daniels Ridge has some rocks, but there are lines thru them. After that most of the climbing is fire roads - some of it is long sustained climbing, but you just find your pace. Nothing "Death March" about it, but the climbs will take their toll on you. You can't really come off the couch and do this race very well. LOL.
