I've ridden at WWC 3 times this week, and I guess it comes down to expectations, as I thought the trails were great.
Wednesday was a short ride, East main and Lake loop. East had its share of moisture, Lake was good.
Thursday rode the classic 14ish miles (no east, no thread trail), minus toilet bowl (assuming it would be unusually wet). Everything was in good shape with the exception of the same mudholes that people seem to keep riding through on south main on the wide parts. Lake Loop was wetter than the day before, but still 100% rideable in its entirety.
Friday I rode every mile of every option of every trail. Other than the aforementioned spots on south main and low spots on thread trail, it was a great
MOUNTAIN bike ride. I like smooth and fast, but most of the time I could do the majority of the WWC on a road bike with slick tires.
Now I just need to find somebody to wash my bike!
