Anne springs NOT ready to be ridden

Went out to Anne Springs today because phone line said trails were open (except horseback riding). I started at tennis courts and rode sugar to the clearing. The trails are super wet. Lots of standing water. Some very slick spots. Bridge we put near creek is almost impossible to get to it. I actually road up the service road from the clearing and rode the road back. Sorry to say it but they should not be open yet.  Cry

I hate to rain on anyone's parade (sorry for the pun) but it is pretty bad out there. It is just going to get more damaged.

Was out there for the first time last Friday because they were open and I thought they'd be much drier. They were pretty awful then, and the worst parts came later on when I was thoroughly committed to being there. It was a mess.

Springs has had an afternoon rain just about everyday, plus several area's do not dry well even when there is no rain for a few day's.

I live about a six minute drive from there and they are open all the time.  My grass which is in direct sun can still be muddy and they will be open.
