Sorry I can't make it . I picked up a differential today and I am going to change it in the morning. If it was a Mazda instead of being made by Ford, it wouldn't have been a problem. If I get finished early enough, I'll be heading up to LNSP to do more work. You guys have fun riding and hope you have lots of success with the work.

Looks like its on for tomorrow.  Meet at the main parking lot at 9 and the forest ranger will be there to meet with us.  Hopefully we get enough help to get the trails clear again.  Feel free to come on out and help.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

First half of white tail is clear. Second half needs another work day.  Had a lot of help today from the "freinds of uwharrie" .   These are people who ride atv's and horses and do not use these trails.  Many thanks to them.  They were a huge help!

Heck yeah!!

Thanks to all of yall for going out there and clearing the trail. It's a haul to get out there and then do all that work to open it up for us to ride. I know it wasnt easy and all the folks who ride there appreciate it. Thank you!

Super easy to donate to. Thanks for the link Tom. Of course a big thanks to the Charlotte crew that gave up their Sat for the URE clean up.

When I was told that there were 40-50 trees down I thought that was an incredible exaggeration. I was very wrong about that. I think we had 21-22 people, 5 of which were sawyers, spread out at 3 location on the trail to try to get them all. It took 6 hours of nonstop work to get the trail cleared.
Over on White Tail there are between 15-18 trees down on that section. It really is not worth riding down and we only did so we could see how many were down. Like Tom said the top part is fine. The first two trees are down just before the muddy section with the dip in it coming from top to bottom of the trail with the remaining trees on the lower section. Two of the trees have their trunks across the trail and are maybe 30 inches in diameter.
As Tom said we had help from a lot of different user groups including equestrians, jeepers, and hikers. Some of the people have never used this side of the park and never will. But they gave up their Saturday to help get them open.
There is still a fair amount of debris down but the trail is in good shape. There are some weeping areas and the creeks are deep.

Here are a couple pictures I snapped on Saturday. I had a good time working on the trails, and am stoked to be able to ride there again.

Thanks for posting some pics.  That trail took a beating from the storms and it felt great to be able to ride it after a good trail work day.  Many thanks to all the people who showed up and worked to make this possible.
